The Book Has Arrived!

It's been a long time coming, but the collections of blogs originally posted at GNN have been edited, collected, expanded and revised into a full book available on Amazon.

Meanwhile, I'm gradually moving away from online share-cropping and moving my blogging activities over to www.guerrillacamping.net. At the moment, I am updating daily journal entries from our long walk in 2006.

With the recent surge of adrenaline from selling a few dozen books, I am considering writing a new book, and would love to get some input on what you would like to read most.

The first idea is a practical guide to hitchhiking. This would be a much shorter companion volume to Guerrilla Camping, but would cover both sides of the hitch, from flyin' thumbs to giving rides.

The second idea is to complete a much more in depth book about fire in general, from campfires and cook stoves to wood stoves and forest fires. I started outlining this when I was learning how to live with a wood stove, but left it behind when I became a dad.

Again, thanks for sticking around, and be aware, I will be updating this spot less and less as I put more and more content over at guerrillacamping, net.

The Book is Coming!

Over a decade in the making! Today the fully edited word document went off for pre-press!

To mark the ten year anniversary of the long walk my wife and I took in 2016 that marked the end of my solo travelling, my start as a homesteader, and the seeds of our amazing guerrilla family, I'll be releasing the ebook on March 12th. It will be immediately available from Amazon, Google Play, and direct from our website at guerrillacamping.net.

I can't believe that after a whole decade, I still get comments, questions and encouragement from around the world for this blog. It's been a bright light for a long time.

Thank you to everyone for your support. I'm currently working on a second book based upon experiences I've had hitchhiking around the United States and then following an oath to pick up every hitchhiker I see to pay it back. Hear the amazing story of the gacked out woman I picked up who turned out to be the personal manager for bot Amy Weinhouse and Whitney Houston! The girl I stopped for who then had her boyfriend and dog jump out of the bushes because they were worried I wouldn't stop for a pit bull. (I drove a truck with a camper shell, complete with a dog bed and water bowl in the back)

Seriously, I've said it a bunch of times already, but thank you!

Now get over to GuerrillaCamping.net and sign up to get a special present, and to get word the second it comes off the presses!
